Wall construction, light, power and access. A sign specified from a photograph is a sign that comes down.
Signage is the one thing on this list that is structural. It hangs above people, it stays up for years, and it is the first thing a visitor sees. It is also the job most often ruined at the last step, when a well-made sign is fixed to the wrong wall with the wrong fixing.
So we survey before we quote. What the wall is made of, how the light falls on it, where the power is if the sign is illuminated, what the landlord will allow, and how the sign will be reached when a lamp eventually needs changing. Those answers decide the material and the mounting, and they are much cheaper to get right on paper.
We fabricate in-house, acrylic, built-up letters, lightboxes, neon, and our own team installs. One party is accountable from survey to switch-on.
